KSP worked 24 traffic accidents in November

During the month of November, there were 24 traffic accidents investigated by the state police working in the Post 15 area, according to the KSP activity report. That includes the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were two fatal collisions during the month of November. Austyn T. Deel, 22, of Russell County Ky was killed on Nov. 12 in Russell County.  Gerald D. Foster, 62, of Cumberland County KY died on Nov. 28 from a collision in Cumberland County.

This brings the yearly fatality count to 28, compared with 23 through this same period in 2019.
Statewide fatality count stands at 693 compared with 682 through this same period.

During the month of November, there were 1146 citations written, 194 courtesy notices written, 451 complaints answered, 74 motorists assisted, 50 criminal cases opened and 248 criminal arrests made.
