The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will conduct its 26th annual national food drive on Saturday, May 12. The Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, the country’s largest single-day food drive, provides residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need in the community.  Letter Carriers walk through the community every day, often coming face to face with a sad reality for too many, hunger.

So, each year on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers across the country collect non-perishable food donations from our customers.  Customers simply leave their donation of non-perishable goods next to their mailbox before the delivery of the mail on Saturday, May 12. Mail carriers will collect these food donations on that day as they deliver mail along their postal routes and distribute them to local food agencies.

Participating in this year’s letter Carrier Stamp Out Hunger Food drive is simple.  Just leave a non-perishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox on Saturday, May 12th and your letter carrier will do the rest.
