LINDSEY WILSON NATIONAL CHAMPION WRESTLER HONORED,
NO. 5 BLUE RAIDERS ADD TWO WINS
COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Lindsey Wilson College community celebrated the college’s first wrestling national champion Friday night. LWC’s Charlie Pingleton was presented a national champion ring by LWC President William T. Luckey Jr. between LWC matches against Indiana Institute of Technology and Life (Ga.) University.

As a 157-pound senior, Pingleton captured an individual national championship last March. He was also named 2011-12 Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Year. Pingleton also captured the 157-pound MSC title and earned NAIA All-American honors in 2012. He is currently as assistant coach at LWC.
Friday was also a big night for LWC wrestling. The Blue Raiders, ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, beat No. 16 Indiana Tech 16-9 and then beat Life 27-15.
LWC wrestles its last dual of the season on Tuesday, traveling to sixth-ranked Campbellsville (Ky.) University for a 7 p.m. CT for a Mid-South Conference match-up.
