Louis Bennett, 80, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, May 11 at Russell County Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1937 in Russell County and was the son of the late Olis and Wilmoth Patterson Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Orene Whittle.
He attended the Well Church in Stanford and was a custodian at Russell Springs Elementary School for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Mann Bennett of Russell Springs; three sons, Jeff (Joanne) Bennett of Stanford, Gary (Becky) Bennett of Shelbyville, Ind., and Greg (Sherry) Bennett of Russell Springs; one daughter, Beverly (Russ) Rhinehart of Shelbyville, Ind.; three brothers, Lavern and Paul Bennett, both of Russell Springs and Winston Bennett of Columbia.
Eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Sunday, May 14 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Rhodes officiating with burial in Haven Hill cemetery.
