Louisville pair arrested in Adair for stolen vehicle

Monday, Sept. 21, 2020

According to Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman, around 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning Chief Deputy Justin Cross initiated a traffic stop on Guardian Street of a red 2002 Toyota for traffic violation. Upon further investigation it was found that vehicle was entered as stolen from Jefferson County.
The vehicle was seized and Mathew Vaughan, 22, and Dawn Robertson, 18, both of Louisville, were arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail for charges of felony theft by unlawful taking over $500 but less then $10,000, motor vehicle.
Cross was assisted by Columbia Police Officer Trevor Foster. The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing the investigation.
