Luis Fernando Medrano Alcaraz, 21, of Columbia, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident of Sulphur Creek Road in Adair County.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1995 in San Fransis, Michoacan, Mexico, was a construction worker and had attended Lindsey Wilson College.
He is survived by his parents, Estercico Medrano Morales of Mexico and Sofia Alcaraz Valencia of Columbia; his daughter, Zophia A. Medrano of Columbia; five brothers, Martin Medrano of Columbia, Rafael Medrano and Saul Medrano, both of Mexico and Jacinto Medrano of California; two sisters, Yadira Medrano and Sandra Medrano, both of Columbia; and by his girlfriend, Liznett Ruiz of Columbia.
A memorial mass will be Friday, Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 20 at noon at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation has been chosen.
The family has requested that those attending either service to wear something white.
