Alex Bautista is the Mid-South Conference Baseball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Bautista picks up his third weekly conference honor of the season and second straight.
The Brooklyn, New York, senior outfielder recorded three multi-hit games last week en route to posting a .474 (9-for-19) batting average. He added four home runs and nine RBIs while helping the Blue Raiders to a 3-2 week.
Bautista went 3-for-5 for two home runs and four RBIs in an 8-7 loss to Bryan (Tenn.) for his top game of the week at the plate. He added three more hits with a home run and three RBIs in Lindsey Wilson’s 20-2 win over Brescia (Ky.).
Bautista completed the week with eight runs and three stolen bases while amassing a 1.158 slugging percentage.
Bautista leads the Mid-South Conference in slugging percentage (.804), hits (56), runs (47), home runs (14), RBIs (50) and total bases (111). He is second in the conference in stolen bases (17) and third in the MSC in batting average (.406).
Bautista is second in the NAIA in home runs, fourth in total bases, sixth in RBIs and seventh in slugging.
Lindsey Wilson is 24-13 overall and tied atop the Mid-South Conference standing with an 8-3 conference mark.
