The Lindsey Wilson cycling team finished in second place at the USA Cycling Collegiate National Championships on Sunday at the Cobb County BMX Track.
The Blue Raiders finished in second place in both the men’s and women’s standings, each side accumulating 166 total team points across the two-day event. Lindsey Wilson trailed only Marian (Ind.) in the final team standings.
On the men’s side, Jake Smith provided the top individual finish with 166 total points after an impressive 104 points on Sunday. Right behind Smith finished Corey Ross with 160 total points.
Brandon McDowell (146), Dakotah Norton (145) and Alec Nesbitt (142) were the next Blue Raiders to finish. Closely behind finished Ryan Denty with 130 points and Blake Gerholdt completed the men’s team with 100 points.
On the women’s side, Adrian Sanders was the top Blue Raider rider with back-to-back 116s to total 232 points. Right behind her finished Sabrina Bice with 208 points, followed by Heather Collman at 180.
Ashton Raum grabbed 80 points on both days for a two-day total 160 as Brianna Delamare finished with 139 points. Malaina Huffman (124) and Alexa Wieland (115) complete the women’s team.
