Lindsey Wilson College and Hardin Memorial Health are partnering to provide expanded learning opportunities for Hardin Memorial Health employees. Lindsey Wilson College Nursing Director Emily Button and Vice President of Hardin Memorial Health Sharon Wright signed a partnership agreement in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Tuesday, Jan 30.
The agreement allows nurses working full time to earn an accredited baccalaureate degree in three semesters in an online format, with reduced tuition rate from Lindsey Wilson College.
According to LWC Nursing and Health Division Chair, Dr. Emiley Button, the agreement marks another milestone for the continued collaboration between the college and hospitals in the region.
Hardin Memorial will begin serving as a key partner in our RN to BSN online program,” said Button. “This will enhance the education and the training of Hardin Memorial employees, and the relevance of Lindsey Wilson College’s RN to BSN online program. The intent is to foster continuous improvement to both organizations and to provide opportunities for the collaboration and growth and the effectiveness of the hospital’s nursing staff.”
Sharon Wright, of Hardin Memorial, was enthusiastic about the partnership.
“We are excited to partner with schools that offer a bachelor’s degree in nursing as we are committed to growing our number of bachelor prepared nurses,” said Wright. “I find Lindsey Wilson College graduates to be expertly trained, professional, and successful in the culture at Hardin Memorial Health.”
The partnership is the fifth of its kind. Lindsey Wilson College also has current partnerships with Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, TJ Samson Community Hospital, Taylor Regional Hospital and Med Center Health.
