Lindsey Wilson softball player Casey Bryan received Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, as announced by conference officials on Monday.
This is the second time Bryan has earned MSC Pitcher of the Week recognition this spring.
In a pair of pitching appearances, Bryan went 2-0 without surrendering an earned run in 8-1/3 innings. She allowed five hits and a walk while amassing a pair of strikeouts.
The sophomore right-handed pitcher tossed 1-1/3 hitless innings in a relief win on Tuesday against St. Catharine (Ky.). Over the weekend, Bryan threw a seven-inning, complete game in a 2-1 win at Georgetown (Ky.) to earn her 11th victory this season. In that game, she gave up five hits, an unearned run and one walk.
Bryan leads the Blue Raiders in a number of categories, including ERA (1.51), wins (11), complete games (9), shutouts (3), saves (2) and innings pitched (79).
Currently ranked ninth in the NAIA, Lindsey Wilson is 27-6 overall and 11-3 in conference play.
The Blue Raiders are slated to play on Tuesday at MSC opponent Cumberland (Tenn.) for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. CT.
