The Lindsey Wilson wrestling team moved up eight spots to No. 4 in the latest NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll, released by the national office on Feb. 11.
The Blue Raiders are receiving 91 total team points, seven points ahead of Montana State-Northern (84).
Lindsey Wilson clinched the Mid-South Conference regular season title after defeating St. Catharine (Ky.) 36-10 on Feb. 10.
Cumberlands (Ky.), Campbellsville (Ky.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) also represent the MSC in the poll. The Patriots (35.5) sit at No. 14, while the Tigers (32) are tied for 15th and the Bulldogs (19) sit in 20th.
Grand View (Iowa) takes the top spot with 184 total team points. Southern Oregon is second with 104 points and Great Falls (Mont.) is third receiving 97.5 total points.
Chad Lampe (7.5) and James Flint (4.5) sit in 13th and 16th, respectively in the 125-pound weight class.
Keaton Thomas has 41 total points and is ranked fifth in the 133-pound weight class and Daniel Leonard jumped to No. 6 in the 141-pound weight class receiving 48 points. Isaac Thomas is ranked fifth in the 149-pound weight class with 39 total points.
Joe Cozart dropped to fourth in the 157-pound weight class with 57 total points.
Erick Gomez is ranked seventh receiving 36 total points in the 174-pound weight class, while Michael Pixley went from unranked to No. 1 in the 184-pound weight class receiving 80 points.
Jake Maupin sits in ninth in the 197-pound weight class with 23 total points and Chico Adams rounds out the team ranked seventh with 31.5 total points in the 285-pound weight class.
