Maymie Janes, 90, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville.
She was born on March 9, 1926 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Ruel D. and Fannie May Petty Page of Adair County.
She was the widow of Delbert Janes, who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1992, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Janes Gumm, on Aug. 25, 2004; and by two sisters, Estill Bardin and Christine Coomer.
She is survived by one son, Noah (Pearl) Janes of Hodgenville; and by four grandchildren, Mark Campbell, Kim Campbell, Vicki Robertson and Kristi Burden.
Eight great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends also survive.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had worked at Osh Kosh B’ Gosh in Columbia.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. William R. Davenport officiating with interment in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dalton Robertson, Dylan Burden, Tyler Burden, Jayme Burdin, Patrick Allison and Dale Janes.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
