Noel Lee “Red” Blakenship 72, of Glensfork, KY passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at 12:10 PM at Signature Health Care - Summit Manor in Columbia, KY after several months illness.
He was born near Glensfork, KY on November 12, 1944 the late Charles and Cordia Inez Thomas Blankenship
Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his wife Anna Pearl Beaty Blankenship in 2001
He worked for the Kentucky Department of Highways for 27 years and retired in 1999 he was a farmer, he had recently professed his faith in Christ.
Red was an avid dog lover and was preceded in death by many of his loving dog companions.
Survived by one sister in law: Zellie McGaha and husband Rollin of Barnett’s Creek
