Billy C. Sneed, 71, of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at Westlake Regional Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 23, 1940 in Adair County and was the son of the late Ernest and Mildred S. Moore Sneed.
He is survived by his wife Margie Richard Sneed of Columbia; one son, Tony Sneed of Columbia; one granddaughter, Natalie Sneed of Columbia; three brothers, Donnie Sneed and his wife Cathy of Columbia, Ronnie Sneed and his wife Phyllis, of Columbia and Darrell Sneed of Columbia; three sisters, Diane Young and her husband Randy of Columbia, Peggy Ray and her husband Ricky of Campbellsville, and Geneva Page of Columbia; and by a special friend, Cindy Brumitt.
Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
He had served his country in the United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator.
Graveside service was Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Haven Hill Cemetery with burial to follow.
Bro. Bobby Withers officiated.
Memorials are suggested to Amercian Cancer Society and may be made at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were David Sneed, Mike Parnell, Darry Bragg, Jeremy Sneed, Josh Wilson and Eddie Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie Grant, Ron Hale, Ken Hatcher, Paul Hayes, Dale Hayes and Robbie Gist.
