Joe Waylon Murrell, 79, of Louisville, formerly of Adair County, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patrie Murrell; two sisters, Alterine Keltner and Agnes Murrell; two brothers, Seyman and Stanton Murrell; and by his wife, Hazel Murrell on June 23, 2010.
He is survived by three sons, Joey Dean Murrell and his wife Dianna of Louisville, James Timothy Murrell and his wife Carrie of Perryville and Michael Dearing Murrell and his wife Michelle of Columbia; one step son, Scott Williason; one step daughter, Diae Cascante; seven grandchildren, Joanna, Matthew, Cameron, Christina, Sarah, Cara and Chloe Murrell; two step granddaughters, Jennifer Bebe and Candace Burke; and by two sisters, Annette Scott and Yvonne Gibson.
Funeral service was Monday, July 16 at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in New Hope.
