ODELL BAKER 74 of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 3:35 AM at his home after several years illness.

He was born October 16, 1942 near Sparksville, KY the son of the late Oscar and Mary Pearl Nelson Baker, besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister

Edith Brown and one brother Russell Baker and by two grandchildren

Joshua Reed Moss and Britney Burris

Survived by his wife of 55 years Celystine Stotts Baker of Columbia, KY

Two daughters:

   Pam Burris and husband Justin of Greensburg, KY

   Cathy Moss and husband Reed of Columbia, KY

One son:

   Steven Baker and wife Gina of Columbia, KY

One brother

   Ronnie Baker of Chance, KY

Three sisters:

   Ruby Rodgers of Columbia, KY

   Becky Bean of Louisville, KY

   Tena Fudge of Breeding, KY

Four grandchildren: Ryan Burris, Jordon Moss, Erin Whitlock, Keisha Bryant

One great grandchild: Ellison Burris

Survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends

Mr. Baker was a member of the Wells Chapel Baptist Church, was employed for many years as a backhoe operator for Garrison Construction and was retired from the Columbia Utilities Commission. He was an avid University of Louisville basketball fan, he also enjoyed his grandchildren and hunting and fishing.

Interment in the Fudge Cemetery at Breeding, KY

The family will receive visitors after 3:30 PM on Wednesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary
