Opal Mae Pinto, 94, of Columbia, KY died Friday, June 12, 2020 at her residence. Born in Adair County she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Bertha Stotts Smith and wife of the late Joe Pinto.

Mrs. Pinto was a member of the Hadley Community Church and loved flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by eight children Bob Hinz (Diana) of Florida, Marilyn Bachoe (Charles) Darien, IL, John Rich (Marge) of Lombard, IL, Ralph Rich (Sharon) of Plainfield, IL, Brenda Johnson (Carl) of Plainfield, IL, Joanne Leonard (Michael) of Elmhurst, IL, Donna Cavazos (Robert) of Plainfield, IL and Mary Gilliam (Steve) of Columbia, KY; a daughter-in-law Debbie Hinz of Lagrange, IL; 30 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren (1 on the way) and 1 great great-grandchildren; three siblings Carolyn Benningfield of Campbellsville, Ernestine Bennett and Ralph Smith both of Columbia; several nieces, nephews, friend and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Richard Hinz and three siblings Thelma Spoon, Hubert Smith and Verbia Bennecke.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00-8:00pm and continue on Saturday morning until time for the service.

Bro. Elbert Hadley will be officiating and pallbearers will be her grandsons.
