(Columbia, KY.) –The Louie B. Nunn Parkway will be closed in both the east and westbound lanes of travel for an undetermined amount of time. Initial estimates suggest a minimum 4 hour closure. A tanker truck overturned this morning at the 43 mile marker and was fully loaded with diesel fuel. No fuel is leaking but the fuel must be transferred to another tanker prior to flipping the overturned tanker upright.
Anyone traveling to and from Columbia should use KY Highway 80 until further notice. No one was injured and what caused the tanker to overturn has not yet been determined. Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Derek Cundiff is investigating
