As of Wednesday, the Paz-Holley Project has raised just over $80,000.
“We would like to thank all those who have donated to the Paz-Holley project so far,” says Paz-Holley Project co-coordinator Robin Lewis. “We are getting closer to our goal of raising $110,000.”
The Paz-Holley project was started by a group of concerned community members who joined together to help a family in need. In October 2017 five young children were left without parents after their mother was murdered and their father was charged in her death.
The mother’s brother and his wife took in the children. They already had five small children of their own. The goal is to help the family obtain a home large enough to accommodate their needs.
There have been several community fundraising events and co-coordinators Rick Wilson and Troy Grider continue to visit local churches and ministries to encourage donations.
Local business owner Stacey Wilson has donated $1,000 and is challenging other business owners to do the same.
Donations can be mailed to J.O.Y. Ministries, P. O. Box 114, Columbia, Ky. 42728. Indicate Paz-Holley in the memo. All donations are tax deductible.
