Phyllis Moore, 72, of Campbellsville, formerly of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, July 19 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born April 27, 1944 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Ivan and Georgia Murrell Burton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Burton, and two sisters, Jewel Howard and Clarice McGaha.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Moore of Campbellsville; one daughter, Jill (Tommy) Moore Pruyear of Campbellsville; one son, Danny (Doris) Shane Moore of Campbellsville; two brothers, Harlan Burton of Shepherdsvile and Leonard Burton of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Glenna Shofner of Campbellsville, Virginia Hunt of Elizabethtown, Ethel McCoy of Dayton, Ohio and Norma Potts pf Louisville; three grandchildren, Tyler (Bethany) Moore, Cameron (Ashley) Pruyear and Chace Pruyear; one great-grandchild, Jason Pruyear; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Phyllis was a member of Kellyville Community Church and a retired postal clerk of the Campbellsville and Columbia post office.

Funeral service was Friday, July 22 at the Kellyville Community Church with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating and internment in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chace Pruyear, Cameron Pruyear, Clifton McGaha, Chad Moore, Tyler Moore and Larry Shofner.
