The local hospital district is once again in search of a CEO after board chairman Craig Pyles asked David Rasmussen for his resignation this week.
The hospital board began its monthly meeting Tuesday night with a 15-minute executive session then followed up with Pyles officially announcing that they had “a parting of the ways” with Rasmussen.
Pyles said the board would operate at the administrative level but not serve as CEO. The board then voted to appoint board member Neal Gold to serve as the board’s representative.
“Neal is not the CEO, he is just the voice of the board,” Pyles said.
