Reba Redmon, 80, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Signature Health at Summit Manor. She was born on July 29, 1936 in Russell Springs and was the daughter of the late Eris Ray and Carrie Laveda Foley Pennington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Ray Redmon, on Nov. 9, 2009 and her son, Robbin Ray Redmon, on Aug. 15, 2013. She is survived by three grandchildren, Rebecca Renee’ Redmon, Michael Ray Redmon and Emily Shay Redmon, all of Columbia; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Akin Redmon Long of Cave City; and a special friend, Carroll Powell of Glasgow. She is also survived by other family and friends. Reba was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Russell Springs and worked as a medical receptionist for many years. Funeral service was Sunday, May 21 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating and interment in the Columbia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Breeding, Wade Breeding, James Garrison, Brandon Breeding, Timothy Jones and Bryon Larimore. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
