Richard E. Rhymes, 76, of the Chance community, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1940 and was the son of the late Lester Harold and Nina Elizabeth Atteberry Rhymes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Rhymes, several years ago; a sister, Katherine Johnson in March 2017; and a brother, Tom Thymes in the late 1990s. He is survived by one sister, Roberta Miller of Loma Linda, Calif.; his fiancée, Kathy Eddington of Columbia; two nieces, Lynn Johnson and Valerie Miller; nephews, Randall Miller, Markus Baumbach, Dustin Baumback; and special friends, Clynus McClister Jr and wife Phyllis of Columbia. Several other relatives and friends also survive. He was disabled and graduated from San Fernando Valley Adventist Academy in San Fernando, Calif.
