Ricky Blankenship, 53, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, after several months illness.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1963 in Columbia and was the son of the late Condy Blankenship and is survived by his mother, Gladys Curry Blankenship of Columbia.

He is also survived by his wife, Peggy Bryant Blankenship of Columbia; two brothers, Danny Blankenship of Leitchfield and Jeff Blankenship of Columbia; one half sister, Janie Cole of Michigan; one niece, Holly Blankenship; one nephew, Jonathan Blankenship; and by his father-in-law, David Bryant and Tammy Durham of Greensburg.

Ricky was a member of Columbia Church of God, owner of Blankenship Recycling and Storage for several years and was a coin and baseball card collector.

Funeral service was Saturday, March 11 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Conover officiating with interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
