Robert Redmon, 96, of Columbia, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at Signature Health and Rehab at Summit Manor in Columbia.
He was born on April 7, 1920 in Adair County and was the son of the late James Thomas and Bella Zona Bryant Redmon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Madlean Sullivan Redmon on June 20, 2010. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Betty Turner Redmon.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby Redmon (Cathy Johnson) of Columbia and Archie Redmon and his wife Peggy of Columbia.
Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends also survive.
He was a farmer.
Funeral service was Monday, Dec. 19 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Keltner officiating with interment in Redmon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tim Baker, Phillip Cornelison, Jason Edwards, Preston Edwards, Tony Ellis and Michael Redmon.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
