Ronald Earl “Grizzly” Clarkston, 77, of Knifley, KY died Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.  Born in Lexington, IN he was the son of the late Earl and Lela Bowling Clarkston.

Mr. Clarkston was a member of the Hovious Mission Church and enjoyed woodworking with his wife and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Sue Brown Clarkston of Knifley, KY; two sons Gerald Lucas (Judy) of Columbia, KY and Daniel Lucas (Tracy) of Knifley, KY; two daughters Becky Grant (Billy) of Russell Springs, KY and Michelle Horton (John) of Brownstown, IN; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters Donna Calhoun of Russell Springs, KY and Shirley Cox of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Michael Clarkston and a brother Wayne Clarkston.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Hyder Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm and continue on Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

Bro. Terry Boston and Bro. Dustin McGowan will be officiating and pallbearers will be Ethan Grant, Will Grant, Kyle Lucas, Mark Jones, Gary Hixson and Chris Sanders.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Lee, Bradley Bradshaw, Joey Lovitt, Marty Cardinal, Christopher Odell, Dalton Cardinal, Frankie Feese, Poochie Tucker, Roger Holmes and Jarrod Hale.

For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering.
