Rosie K. Bearden, of 80, of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at TJ Samson Hospital emergency room in Glasgow.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1936 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Dempsey and Lula Neat Franklin. She was the widow of the late Robert Earl “Lucky” Bearden, who preceded her in death on June 3, 1981. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Franklin, Wallace Franklin, Harlan Franklin and Don Franklin; and by two grandchildren, Douglas Coy Dickson and Chris Bearden.
She is survived by three sons, Charles (Mabel) Dickson of Magnolia, Terry (Sharon) Dickson of Louisville and Don Bearden of Columbia; three daughters, Ray (Carl) Posey of Greensburg, Ruby (Curtis) Cox of English, Ind., and Linda (Jimmy) Boston of Columbia; three brothers, Chester Franklin of Franlkin, Herbert (Betty) Franklin of Edmonton and Howard (Kathy) Franklin of Columbia.
Ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
She attended the Church of Christ on Hudson Street and was a homemaker.
Pallbearers were Andy Skaggs, Todd Bardin, Cameron Posey, Luke Bearden, Dallas Carroll and Aaron Coulter.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
