The Adair County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence five miles north of Columbia to a reported home invasion at 10:02 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1.
Adair County 911 advised deputies that the call was that an ex-boyfriend of a female had entered her home armed with a pistol, pointing it at her, along with other guest in the home, threatening to kill them.
One of the guests was armed and was able to keep intruder at bay until deputies arrived. Deputies arrived, secured the firearm and placed Jason Harmon, 27, of Russell Springs into custody.
He was charged with burglary 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree, terroristic threatening 3rd degree and menacing.
Harmon was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
Deputy Chandler Staten, who was assisted by Chief Deputy Justin Cross, made the arrest.
