The Russell County School Board says after receiving reports of inappropriate communications between a teacher and a student they called a meeting where the teacher was confronted with documentation of the events in question. The teacher was then suspended.
The teacher then turned in his resignation from the school system. Russell County Superintendent Michael A. Ford released this statement:
