Ruth Bell, 67, of Columbia, died Monday, June 5, 2017 at T.J. Health Columbia emergency room. She was born on Feb. 23, 1950 in Adair County, to the late Andy Clifton and Ada Richard Parson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Bell on July 23, 2002; two sons, Eugene and Ricky Bell; two brothers, Carl and Leroy Parson; and by one sister-in-law, Stella Parson. She was a member of Gradyville Baptist Church and worked in the dietary department at Green Hill Manor in Greensburg. She is survived by one son, Sam (Leigh Ann) Bell of Columbia; one daughter, Lizzie Bell of Columbia; four brothers, Vernon (Sharon), Clell (Pauline), Willard (Shelia) and Steve (Tina) Parson, all of Columbia; and by three grandchildren, Stephanie, Curtis and Billy Bell. Several other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral service is today at 1 p.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Willard Parson officiating with burial in Columbia Cemetery. Casket bearers were Anthony Parson, David Bell, Steve Bell, Jr., Blake Cundiff, Michael Parson, Gary Keith, Curtis Bell and D.J. Kirkendolph.
