Parents, teachers and students have been hearing phrases such as ‘Leader in Me’ and ‘Race to the Top’ a lot over the past couple of months. Beginning in August, they will hear them more often.
August begins the Adair County School District’s four-year Race to the Top initiative. The school district will benefit from $1.6 million as part of a national grant to help make improvements in school districts throughout the country.
As part of Race to the Top, Adair County schools will gradually implement changes in the district with programs such as Leader in Me over the next two years.
