Adair County Lady Indians golf team finished their season at region in Campbellsville on Monday. The two golfers, Hailey Taylor and Lauren McQuaide, shot 91 and 108 to end their season.
“They did a great job,” Coach Lauren Willis said.
“(Lauren) McQuaide was a little frustrated and rightfully so,” she said. “She had a couple bad holes that caused her score to be higher than it should have been. She hit the ball much better than she scored.”
Taylor County’s team came away with the first place victory and Barren County finished in second. Ellen Kehoe from Taylor County and Casey Vanmeter battled it out for the top individual honor.
As for Hailey, she shot her personal best in a tournament with her score of 91.
“She (Hailey) flirted with breaking 90,” Coach Willis said.
“They both have improved so much over the course of the season; they have been fun to coach and I can’t wait to see what they look like next year.”
