COLUMBIA, Ky. – Seventy-Six Lindsey Wilson College student-athletes have earned 2019-20 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, NAIA officials announced on Tuesday as part of the NAIA National Awards Day.

The 76 scholar-athletes are the most in any one academic year for Lindsey Wilson.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

The Blue Raider football team led the way for LWC athletics with 11 honorees. Women’s soccer produced seven scholar-athletes while women’s swimming and men’s track & field each boasts six honorees.

A total of 11,126 student-athletes across the NAIA earned the honor.
