A young woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and destruction of a VIN number by the Adair County Sheriff’s department late Tuesday evening.

Deputy Josh Durbin was dispatched to a complaint of people trespassing on Harris Road. Upon arrival, Durbin located 21-year-old Savannah Tweedy in a pickup truck that had been tampered with. The vehicle identification number (VIN) had been criminally removed from the truck. Tweedy was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Tweedy was arrested and lodged in the Adair County jail. More charges are pending.
