Shirley McAllister, 90, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at TJ Health/Columbia
She was born September 8, 1929, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Millard T. and Margaret Parks Hart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Morgan Jackson and her second husband, Garnett McAllister and her son, Donald Drew Jackson. At an early age, she learned to play the piano, loved to draw and paint, was a gracious hostess, loved horses, enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby and of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law – Deborah & Paul Phelps of Columbia
Deborah & Paul would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors and Staff at TJ Health/Columbia for the excellent care given to Ms. McAllister and to them, Hosparus Green River and their neighbors and friends.
A Drive-Thru visitation will be on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home
The service and burial will be private in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky
