Shirley M. Pilkington, 79, of Adair County, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was born on July 26, 1937 in Sylva, N.C., and was the daughter of the late William Walter and Bertha Cook Biddix.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Pilkington.
She was a member of the Gradyville Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Pilkington of Columbia; two sons, Will (Rachael) Pilkington and James Hardy (Lolita) Pilkington all of Adair County; one sister, Clovie Putnam of Bethel, N.C. Twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside service was Sunday, June 18 at the Moss Cemetery with Bro. Keith Friends officiating and burial to follow.
