It’s time for the square and its surroundings to come ‘to life’ again.
The Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of the Squarecrows!
To reserve you Squarespot please register your Squarecrow this year by calling the City of Columbia at 270-384-2501. We appreciate City Hall doing this for us as the Chamber is closed.
The Squarecrow Squarespots are on a first come, first served basis. Since Downtown Days is canceled this year, we will not have the popular ‘People’s Choice Award’, but will have first, second and third place awards.
As always please remember that the Squarecrows must be secured to the ground or the street light or bench or wherever, so it can’t be blown around by high winds and cause a safety hazard.
Once you have been registered with your spot and number, Squarecrows may begin being placed on October 1 but must come down by November 2. Also remember to make them as weather proof as possible since they are outside in the elements. And please be respectful in your design. These are enjoyed by young and old so please nothing scary either.
