An Adair County man died in a two-vehicle accident Monday night on Russell Springs Rd. near the entrance of Powell Rd.
Kentucky State Police Post 15 reports that Lucas Gregorio, 39, of Columbia, was traveling west on Russell Springs Road in a 2015 Nissan Rogue. Gregorio crossed the centerline of the roadway and collided with a 2022 Dodge Ram operated by Bobby Sexton, 49, of Columbia, traveling east.
Gregorio was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Adair County coroner’s office. Sexton and a 10-year-old female passenger in his vehicle were transported to T.J. Health Columbia for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition to KSP and the coroner’s office, the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Adair County Fire Department, Adair County Ambulance Service and the Kentucky State Highway Department responded to the scene. Senior Trooper Trevor Sagrecy is investigating the collision.
