Daniel Eric Matney, 49, of Greensburg, son of Danny Harold Matney of Greensburg and the late Patsy Ann Meadows Matney, was born September 11, 1975 in Greensburg and departed this life on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at his home.
He had made a profession of Faith in Christ and worked as a sawyer for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Dupps Matney of Greensburg; two step-children, Ashley Bowles and Audrey Judd, both of Greensburg; two step-grandchildren, Axel Wright and Reagan Milby, both of Greensburg; one brother, Joseph Matney of Adair County; one sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Chris Lewis of Campbellsville; furbaby, Babygirl; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Besides his mother, he was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Cody Matney, on July 4, 2011.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Adam Scott officiating and burial in Bethlehem Cemetery.
The family has requested the expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home, or there is an account open at Community Trust Bank for donations to the funeral fund.
Pallbearers were Joseph Matney, Justin Morgan, Eric Matney, Peyton Morgan, Jonathan Meadows, Jeremy Meadows and Joey Absher.
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
