The Adair County girls’ golf team played against Barren County in a home game at the Pines on Tuesday night in their penultimate home game of the season. Gearing up to go out with a bang, the Lady Indians shot 203 against Barren County’s 234.
“(We were) missing Ila and Shae,” Coach Ashley Goodin said. “203 is good for us without those two.”
The score breakdown reflects this being a strong game for the golfers. Ashley Loy shot 44, with Claire Loy the second lowest at 50. Laney Inchcliff came in at 54, and Gracie Gist shot one point higher at 55. Adysen Wooley shot a game of 63 and Reesa West scored a 72. Comparably, the best score on the opposition team was a 49. The two highest scores were tied at 71. Examining the numbers, especially against the opposing team, indicates just how far the girls have come this season.
