Helen Sneed, 79, of Columbia, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at her home.
She was born August 16, 1944 in Adair County to the late Henry and Beulah Bragg Compton. In addition to her parents, she as preceded in death by her husband, James L. Sneed; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol Compton and Sue and Robbie McAllister. Helen was an in-home caregiver and owned and operated an auction house.
Survivors include four nephews, Neal Sneed of Columbia, Gerald and Kay Sneed and Kay’s brother, Timothy Janes of Russell Springs, Randall and Amanda Sneed of Columbia and Gary (Tiny) Sneed and Jenny Holtzclaw of Columbia; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. James Walker officiating and burial in Antioch Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Jacob Sneed, Joseph Sneed, Neal Sneed, Gerald Sneed, Gary Sneed and Andrew Sneed.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
