James R. Morgan, 80, of Columbia, died Friday, November 22, 2024 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1944 to the late James and Hallie Flatt Morgan.
James was an oil well driller and attended Amazing Grace Church and Living by Faith Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Morgan of Columbia; one son, James Chad Morgan (Misty Nicole) of Columbia; three daughters, Judy Ann Rogers (Jeremy) of Florida, Cathy Jo Birdwell (Craig) and Amy Morgan Knipp (Wesley) all of Columbia; three brothers, Reece Morgan, Ronnie Morgan and Larry Morgan, all of Columbia; three sisters, Rena Goodin of Columbia, Reba Morgan of Sadieville and Reda Morgan of Leesburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating and burial in Union Cemetery.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
