Jaycee Easter egg hunt

Posted

On Saturday, the Adair County Jaycees held their 25th annual Easter egg hunt at the new fairgrounds located on Industrial Drive. The Easter bunny was present for free photos with kids of all ages.
The event was well attended with approximately 175 people. All children ages 1 to 12 were able to participate.
Following the egg hunt, each child selected two prizes and received free cotton candy, hot dogs and tickets for the drawing for the larger prizes. There were many Easter baskets, bicycles, and other items donated by local officials, businesses and purchased by the Jaycees.
Randy Hadley, one of the committee members, said he appreciated all the donations that were received and hopes that in the future more businesses will get involved with the Jaycees and their efforts for the community. He also added that they were always accepting new members.
If you are interested in joining the organization, meetings are held the first and third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
