Jimmie Dale Moye, 72, of Columbia passed away Thursday April 24, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
He was born on May 1, 1952 in Elgin, Ill. to the late Bertis Edgar Moye and Eva Loraine Enman Moye. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Gene Moye and Terry Moye.
Mr. Moye was a member of the Grace Family Church in Illinois and enjoyed old cars, mowing the lawn and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Glenna Moye of Columbia; three children, Jeremy Moye of Columbia, Kelli Miller (Brad) of Columbia and Jimmie Scott Moye (Kari) of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Tylar Moye, Tristin Moye, Sebastian Moye, Destinee Rednour, Zoe Moye and Madden Moye; one great-grandchild, Willow Moye; two siblings, Janie Towner (Tom) and Larry Moye both of Illinois; and special friends, Randy and Marg Rasmussen of Illinois.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with cremation to follow the service. Visitation will be on Friday after 10 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
