Joseph Carl Wilson, 69, of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in Columbia on August 6, 1955 to the late Joseph Charles and Kathleen Cowan Wilson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Lee Wilson.
Mr. Wilson attended the Charity Baptist Church and enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Tammie Perry Wilson of Columbia; his fur-baby, Hailey Marie Wilson; six stepchildren, Robert Rison (Alexandra) of Louisville, Chad Rison (fiancé, Leslie Byrd) of Louisville, Jessica Perry (Phillip Ferguson) of Columbia, Glen Farmer (fiancé, Adrienne Ritter of Somerset, Christian Fugate (Skyler) of Somerset and Bridget Farmer of Columbia; several grandchildren, friends, other friends and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 23, 2024 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Elbert Hadley officiating and burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Rison, Chad Rison, Glen Farmer, Jason Weston, Kevin Phillips and Brian Cowan.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
