Judy Kathy Dickson, 62, of Breeding passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her sister’s residence in Breeding. She was born in Edmonton on May 16, 1962 to the late Carl and Lucille Sexton Dickson. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Grider.
Judy was a member of the Prices Creek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her dogs Milo and Katie.
Survivors include her sister, Loretta Pennington (Elbert) of Breeding; her niece and nephews Teresa Harris (Ricky) of Glasgow; Christopher Pennington of Breeding, Roger Dickson and Jeff Dickson both of Columbia; two great-nieces, Ashley Wilson (Cam) and Haylee Pennington; a special friend, Jennie Pennington of Breeding; and several other friends and relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Doug Spear. Ms. Dickson was also preceded in death by two siblings, Geneva England and her husband Coy, and Cecil Dickson and his wife Margie.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, January 31, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Shirley-Dickson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and will continue Friday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Danny Wayne Sexton and Bro. Randy Young will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Houston Pennington, Ricky Spears, Joey Burris, Barry Thrasher, Howard Dickson, and Ricky Harris. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Wilson.
