Margie Marie (Burton) McKenzie, 89, passed away Friday March 21, 2025 with her family by her side.
Margie was born on January 29, 1936 to the late Johnny and Delia Burton of Adair County. She was a member of Fairdale Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry B. McKenzie Jr.; two brothers, Thelbert and Prenith Burton; a sister, Betty Jo Sneed; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her four children, David Burton (Leann); Dale Burton (Linda); Donna Hamilton (Bill Jr); and Robert “Bob” Burton (Lawinna); five stepchildren, Sherry Wright, Michael McKenzie, Donna Webb (Bobby), Russell McKenzie (Michelle) and Mark McKenzie (Deborah); 19 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Phillip Burton (Naomi); and three sisters, Katherine Burton, Barbara Churchill (Tom) and Georgia Mings (Ralph).
Funeral services were Tuesday March 25, 2025 at Owen Funeral Home with burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
