Movie Tickets Available Aug. 15-17 at KBC Donor Centers
KBC has an urgent need for all blood types
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Needing a summer blockbuster turnout to give the blood supply a much-needed boost, Kentucky Blood Center is offering movie tickets all donor center locations Aug. 15-17.
Donors who give blood at any of KBC’s eight donor center locations Thursday through Saturday will receive two local movie passes for playing a starring role in saving local lives.
KBC requires approximately 400 donors daily to supply lifesaving blood products to more than 70 hospitals, but the nonprofit has met that goal just twice since the end of its popular Taylor Swift ticket giveaway promotion at the end of June. As a result, KBC is in urgent need of all blood types.
Kentuckians can ensure a health blood supply and make it a weekend at the movies on KBC by making an upcoming appointment.Donor centers, listed below, are open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donors can also call 800.775.2522 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements.
