Nadene Shelton, 91, of Columbia, died Friday, February 28, 2025 at TJ Health Columbia.
She was born April 3, 1933, to the late Luther and Ruth Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Chester Shelton. She attended Victory Community Church and was a former Nurse’s Aide.
She is survived by one daughter, Anita Jurkovic of Chicago, IL; three sons, Robert Shelton, Roger Shelton and John Shelton all of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Eathan, Shane, Kayla, Shannon, Jennifer, and Nicole; 12 great-grandchildren, Bobby, Alec, Aubrey, Addison, Bobby, Faith, Lennox, Leo, Shaakir, Mansur, Jibril and Munirah; and three great-great-grandchildren, Shawn, Max and Samuel.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Damron officiating.Burial was in Columbia Cemetery. Shelton’s grandchildren served as casket bearers.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
