Robert Rudy Hubbard, 75, of Russell Springs, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was born September 2, 1948 in Cincinnati, a son of the late Rudoph and Virginia Ashcraft Hubbard.
Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired as a Captain after serving 22 years as a military police officer. Robert was then employed by the Nevada Department of Public Safety where he worked as a state police officer for 16 years. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his free time playing golf. To his family and friends he was considered a “great man” and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Tara Hubbard of Russell Springs; three sons, Chris (Kristen) Hubbard and Sean (Michelle Thomas) Hubbard, both of Henderson, Nevada and Eric Corona of Norfolk, Virginia; one daughter, Kathleen Corona of Green Valley, Arizona; two sisters, Linda (Tony) Wright of Jamestown and Phyllis (Archie) Burton of Columbia; three grandchildren, Hailey Hubbard, Robert Christopher Hubbard Jr., and Wyatt Willis Perkins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Bernard Funeral Home with burial in the Russell Springs City Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Russell County Honor Guard. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
